Managing Morons

 Still working at home

It is cold today!Yaay! Bicycle Charlie and Bible Man are still seen making their daily rounds. The hummingbirds have left for Costa Rica. I will miss them! There is a stray Rooster that has taken up residence on my property, probably because of the 13 Hens I have in a pen! However, MY pet Roo, Foghorn (a white rock) is not thrilled about the new arrival. He wants to kill him but can't get to him! The New Roo is red, green, and black. He is HUGE! Looks like a Gamecock. He just struts around like he owns the place! My dogs don't even mess with him! My cat is afraid of him. He eats out of the wild bird feeders.

 Happy, Happy, JOY JOY JOY!!!!

Still don't have a job, but I am making money, legally! My oldest daughter is home and acting sweet! Birds are still duking it out on porch, and my youngest of 5 children just started kindergarten, so I actually have some time alone a few hours a day !!!!
Life is SWEET!

Hummingbirds, Black Capped Chickadees, and Tufted Titmouse

Since I DONT HAVE A JOB I have lots of time to watch the aerial acrobatics and wars going on between these 3 species! On my huge porch filled with feeders, birdbaths, suet, nectar, fruit, and flowers, it is engaging to watch the 3 species of small birds "Duke it Out" for dominance.
The Hummers, while being the smallest, seem to be winning the war. Although they can't eat seed or suet, and only want the nectar and flowers, they don't seem to want any company on "their" porch!
The tufted titmouse family is next, and only after they have had their fill in the evenings, as the sun is setting, will the black capped chickadees venture forward for a quick snack. (They have a lookout at all times!)
It is so cool. I know I need to get another job, but life right now is so sweet! It will continue to be until I run out of money!

 Day 3 without a job

I feel so free, yet scared. I have enough money to last a few months, but after that....?
I went job hunting today, but my heart wasn't in it. I have been enjoying my kids, my hubby, my garden, and my critters. I really don't want to go back to work, but with 5 young-uns (which I CHOSE to adopt) not working is not an option.
